Reported data are of the pathogenesis and diagnosis of the stromal tumors of gastrointestinal tract (GIST) and the role of c-Kit mutation. The role and place of surgical treatment, radio- and chemotherapy and target therapy is discussing. Modern treatment conceptions of GIST, depending on pathogenesis, are presented.
