Ambient‐Dried MOF/Cellulose‐Based Aerogels for Atmospheric Water Harvesting and Sustainable Water Management in Agriculture

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ambient‐dried composite aerogels integrating MOF‐303, TEMPO‐oxidized cellulose nanofibers (TOCNF), and hygroscopic salts enable high‐performance atmospheric water harvesting (AWH), achieving competitive uptake at both low and high humidity. Enhanced with a solar‐evaporation layer, these scalable aerogels support self‐sustained plant growth in a ...

Relief and Quaternary sediments of the Petrozavodsk State University’s Botanic Garden as the basis of its present landscapes

open access: yesHortus Botanicus, 2001
The PetrSU Botanic Garden is situated on the North-West shore of the Petrozavodsk bay of the Onego lake in the limits of the Solomennoye denudative-tectonic ridge on the absolute marks 33—123 m above sea-level. Small moraines of the last Upper Valdai ice

Reservoir‐Type Subcutaneous Implantable Devices Containing Porous Rate Controlling Membranes for Sustained Delivery of Risperidone

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel implantable drug delivery systemwith a biodegradable poly(caprolactone) membrane and compressed drug core forsustained release. These implantable devices deliver risperidone in vitro for 170 days and in vivo for 49 days in rats, showing promise for chronic conditions like schizophrenia.

Ovarian Function Restoration with Biomimetic Scaffold Incorporating Angiogenic Molecules and Antioxidant in Chemotherapy‐Induced Perimenopausal Model

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study developed a biomimetic scaffold incorporating PDRN and melatonin to restore ovarian function in chemotherapy‐induced premature ovarian insufficiency, enhancing cell survival, folliculogenesis, and hormone normalization, while improving fertility rates and offspring in a mouse model, offering a promising strategy for ovarian function ...

3D Microtumors Representing Ovarian Cancer Minimal Residual Disease Respond to the Fatty Acid Oxidation Inhibitor Perhexiline

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Minimal residual disease (MRD) leads to cancer relapse and poor survival in ovarian cancer. The lack of representative 3D models limits therapy development. The microfluidics‐based high throughput 3D microtumor platform described here generates clinically‐relevant MRD models. The 3D microtumors recapitulate the molecular signatures of MRD from patients.

Some characteristics of the glacial period in non-glaciated region

open access: yes
Introduction In the progress of geology the influence of climate has been one of the last great subjects to receive attention. During a residence of four years in the dry eastern part of Asiatic Turkey, from 1897 to 1901, the importance of climatic ...

Hollow‐Structured Nanorobot with Excellent Magnetic Propulsion for Catalytic Pollutant Degradation, Anti‐Bacterial and Biofilm Removal

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A hollow‐structured Fe3O4@AgAu@PDA‐ZnPc nanosphere has been developed, exhibiting controllable catalytic activity and “photothermal‐photodynamic‐Ag+” coupling antibacterial characteristics. When subjected to a rotating magnetic field, these performances are uniquely enhanced by magnetic propulsion, allowing the nanosphere to function as a magnetic ...
