Phenotyping, genome‐wide dissection, and prediction of maize root architecture for temperate adaptability

open access: yesiMeta, EarlyView.
This study dissects the genetic architecture of maize Root System Architecture, identifying significant root trait differences between tropical/subtropical and temperate lines. Using genome‐wide association study, 3511 genes were linked to root morphology, weight, and slice traits.

Efficacy of Haloxyfop‐R‐Methyl on Allium cepa: Cyto‐Genotoxic and In Silico Docking Studies on the Mechanism of Action

open access: yesMicroscopy Research and Technique, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Haloxyfop‐R‐methyl (HRM) is extensively employed to control annual and perennial grass weeds. This study aimed to investigate the cyto‐genotoxic effects of HRM at concentrations of 1.19, 2.38, and 4.76 mg/L over various time intervals (24, 48, 72, and 96 h) on Allium cepa root.

ECB‐WQ: A Long‐Term Agroecosystem Research (LTAR)—Eastern Corn Belt node field‐scale water quality dataset

open access: yesJournal of Environmental Quality, EarlyView.
Abstract The Eastern Corn Belt (ECB) node of the Long‐Term Agroecosystem Research (LTAR) network is representative of row crop agricultural production systems in the poorly drained, humid regions of the US Midwest and a significant focus for addressing water quantity and quality concerns affecting Lake Erie and the Gulf of Mexico.
