Radioglaciological studies on Hurd Peninsula glaciers, Livingston Island, Antarctica [PDF]
We present the results of several radio-echo sounding surveys carried out on Johnsons and Hurd Glaciers, Livingston Island, Antarctica, between the 1999/2000 and 2004/05 austral summer campaigns, which included both radar profiling and common-midpoint ...

Mountain glacier-to-rock glacier transition
Abstract In many of the world's high mountain systems, glacier recession in response to climate change is accompanied by a paraglacial response whereby glaciers are undergoing a transition to rock glaciers. We hypothesise that this transition has important implications for hydrological resources in high mountain systems and the surrounding lowlands ...

Realization of Aqueous Processed LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 through the pH Optimization of Polyacrylate Binders
Partly neutralized polyacrylate binders enable aqueous processing of LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 (LNMO) cathodes by buffering the slurry pH within the aluminum current collector's passivation region. Optimal performance is achieved at binder pH 5, matching polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF)‐based systems in LNMO‖Li4Ti5O12 (LTO) full cells, while higher pH leads to ...

Meltwater Intrusions Reveal Mechanisms for Rapid Submarine Melt at a Tidewater Glacier [PDF]
Submarine melting has been implicated as a driver of glacier retreat and sea level rise, but to date melting has been difficult to observe and quantify. As a result, melt rates have been estimated from parameterizations that are largely unconstrained by ...
