The SNARE protein YKT6 is upregulated in bladder cancer (BLCA), correlating with poor prognosis. YKT6 promotes tumor proliferation and metastasis by activating Wnt/β‐catenin signaling. It recruits Ubiquitin‐Specific Peptidase 7 (USP7) to deubiquitinate and stabilize β‐catenin, enhancing its nuclear accumulation and driving oncogenic gene expression ...

A seismic analysis of subglacial lake D2 (Subglacial Lake Cheongsuk) beneath David Glacier, Antarctica [PDF]
Subglacial lakes beneath Antarctic glaciers are pivotal in advancing our understanding of cryosphere dynamics, basal hydrology, and microbial ecosystems. We investigate the internal structure and physical properties of Subglacial Lake D2 (SLD2), which is

The StERF10‐StGSH1 module coordinates glutathione (GSH) biosynthesis under low‐phosphorus stress. The low‐phosphate‐induced AP2/ERF transcription factor StERF10 directly activates the transcription of StGSH1 and enhances GSH accumulation. Consequently, GSH scavenges reactive oxygen species and provides sulfur for sulfolipid synthesis, facilitating the ...

Host plant resistance promotes a secondary pest population
Insecticides can cause secondary pest outbreaks that weaken the benefit of chemical pest control. These detrimental nontarget effects motivate the use of alternative pest management strategies such as host plant resistance and intercropping.

Novel Antifungal Scaffold Targeting Tubulin Overcomes Sclerotinia Sclerotiorum Resistance
Addressing pesticide resistance, novel chromone‐acylhydrazone hybrids targeting fungal tubulin are synthesized. Compound G24 potently inhibited S. sclerotiorum (EC50 = 0.21µg mL−1) and demonstrated enhanced field performance via microencapsulation, offering a sustainable strategy against resistance and for global food security.
