Validation for Ice Flow Velocity Variations of Shirase Glacier Derived From PALSAR-2 Offset Tracking
We have shown that the flow velocity of Shirase Glacier can be estimated by applying the offset tracking method to the amplitude images derived from the phased array type L-band synthetic aperture radar type-2 (PALSAR-2) onboard the Advanced Land Observing Satellite-2.

Abstract As habitat salinity markedly differs between the endangered, freshwater‐dwelling Saimaa ringed seal (Pusa saimensis Nordquist, 1899) and the brackish water‐inhabiting Baltic ringed seal (Pusa hispida botnica Gmelin, 1788), we investigated whether this difference has resulted in morphological changes to their kidneys.

Abstract. The Holmes Glacier is a major outlet glacier in Wilkes Land, East Antarctica, a region experiencing accelerated ice mass loss. To study the historical dynamic changes of the Holmes Glacier in East Antarctica, this study utilized Landsat MSS imagery to reconstruct a high-resolution velocity map of the glacier dating back to the 1970s.
