Designed Lewis Acid–Base Passivation for High Performance Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Silicon's high cost and long energy payback time remain major barriers to the global expansion of solar power. In contrast, metal–halide perovskites offer abundant, solution‐processable absorbers, and have achieved efficiencies of 25%–30%, positioning them as strong competitors to silicon.

Digitizing the Filtration Interface: A Smart, Modular Janus Wood Platform for Self‐Reporting Oil/Water Remediation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work developed a smart Janus wood membrane integrating asymmetric wettability with built‐in electrical sensing for oil‐water separation. The membrane achieved > 99.5% separation efficiency and high flux by leveraging wood's natural anisotropic pore structure.

Debris-covered glaciers mapping based on machine learning and multi-source satellite images over Eastern Pamir

open access: yesBig Earth Data
Debris-covered glaciers present significant challenges for accurately mapping and monitoring glacier dynamics, particularly in regions like the Eastern Pamir Plateau.

Bioinspired Mechanically Robust Organic–Inorganic Hybridized Bio‐Adhesives With up to 50% Inorganic Components by Bi‐Continuous Phase Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A robust plant protein adhesive was prepared by fabricating a bi‐continuous organic–inorganic hybrid structure. Compared with traditional organic–inorganic hybrid adhesives, the addition amount of inorganic phase is increased from 0.2%–3.0% to 50%, and the strength and toughness are increased by 6 and 121 times, respectively.

Assessing glacier retreat and landform production at the ‘debris-charged’ snout of Kvíárjökull, Iceland [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Iceland is a critical location for the study of glacier fluctuations and landform production in response to climate change due to its diverse glacial legacy and its archive of aerial photographs that provide accurately dated records of glacier retreat ...

Assessing the catastrophic break-up of Briksdalsbreen, Norway, associated with rapid climate change

open access: yes, 2011
Recent research has raised concerns about the potential influence of rapid climate change on the stability of major ice sheets. The behaviour of glaciers is determined largely by the processes and conditions operating at their base.

Tracking Spatiotemporal Extracellular Matrix Evolution and Tissue Fusion in 3D Microtissues via Click Chemistry‐Based Metabolic Labelling

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Metabolic labeling of nascent proteins in 3D microtissue spheroids provides a powerful analytical approach for large‐scale tissue engineering. Incorporation of non‐canonical amino acids with fluorescent tagging enables spatiotemporal investigation of extracellular matrix deposition and its evolution during multicellular tissue development and fusion ...

Reason Analysis of the Jiwenco Glacial Lake Outburst Flood (GLOF) and Potential Hazard on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
Glacial lake outburst flood (GLOF) is one of the major natural disasters in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau (QTP). On 25 June 2020, the outburst of the Jiwenco Glacial Lake (JGL) in the upper reaches of Nidu river in Jiari County of the QTP reached the ...

Adaptable Covalent Organic Framework‐Hydrogel Microneedles for Glucose‐Responsive Isoliquiritigenin Delivery in Diabetic Wound Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a covalent organic framework‐loaded Traditional Chinese Medicine monomer nanodrug delivery system (ISL@bCOF) via boron‐oxygen bonds, a smart response to glucose for delivering AI‐driven isoliquiritigenin (ISL) targeting ZBP1. This dynamic release mechanism, combined with transdermal delivery technology via potent microneedles, can modulate ...

Debris covered glacier mapping using newly annotated multisource remote sensing data and geo-foundational model

open access: yesScience of Remote Sensing
The automated mapping of debris covered glaciers remains challenging due to spectral similarity between supraglacial debris (on-glaciers) and periglacial debris (off-glaciers).
