Monitoring Of Seasonal Snow Cover On Glaciers
International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 'Remote Sensing: Moving Toward the 21st Century'., 2005The delineation of the transient snow line on the AletschGlacier was studied in detail for the melting period 1985 by comparing the data from an automatic camera, aerial photographs and Landsat-TM images. The accuracy achieved from TM band 2 regarding the course of the snow line lies, except at a few areas of very low contrast, within one pixel.

Monitoring Glacier Changes on the Antarctic Peninsula
2014The Antarctic Peninsula has exhibited some of the most spectacular changes observed in glacial systems in recent decades. The events include disintegration of ice shelves, acceleration and thinning of glaciers, variations in the limits between glacier facies, and retreat of glacier fronts.

~70 years of glacier monitoring in Mexico
Glaciers in México have been present for the last decades on the highest mountains of México: Iztaccíhuatl,Popocatépetl and Citlaltépetl. In 1964 the size of twelve glaciers was measured at Iztaccíhuatl volcano using aerial photographs resulting in an extension of 1.4 km2.
