U radu se glagoljična se slova određuju – istovremeno – kao oznake za foneme u (staroslavenskom i hrvatskostaroslavenskom) jeziku, kao oznake za brojeve i kao simboli (filozofsko-teološki sustav), što već samo po sebi upućuje na izvanredan potencijal semiotičkog komuniciranja. Autor pristupa jezičnim značajkama s kulturološkoga aspekta dokazujući otvorenost silbenskog jezičnog sustava različitim utjecajima, ali isto tako ističe potrebu očuvanju starina tako da se osjeća prožimanje tradicionalnog i modernog.
