MOF glass membranes for gas separation.
Angewandte Chemie, 2020Metal-organic framework (MOF) glass is a promising candidate for membrane fabrication due to its significant porosity, the ease of processing, and most notably, the potential to eliminate the grain boundary that is unavoidable for polycrystalline MOF ...

The American Journal of Nursing, 1931
T HIS is only the second time I've been asked to talk about nursing: usually the request is to change the subject! The first time was before my marriage, when my husband said: "Tell me about this profession of yours. I never could see why any one wanted to go into it." Glass–Glass Laser-Assisted Glass Frit Bonding
IEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology, 2012A novel sealing method is proposed for encapsulating devices comprised of glass substrates. This sealing method is based on applying a glass frit paste cord onto the substrate and then using a laser beam to locally supply the necessary energy to allow the formation of a hermetic bonding layer.

ELECTROSPRAYING OF GLASSES—PREPARATION OF GLASS COATINGS ON GLASS
Journal of Aerosol Science, 1999Abstract Glass coatings on ceramic or metallic substrates are prepared by two different methods. In a two-step process the glass powder is deposited on the glass substrate by methods such as airless spraying of enamel or glaze suspensions, dipping in enamel suspensions, electrospraying or electrophoretic deposition of enamel or glaze suspensions, and

The glass ceiling and the glass cliff are metaphors that point to discriminatory obstacles to the professional upward mobility of qualified women or other minorities, regardless of their actual performances. This entry defines these concepts, gives research illustrations of the phenomena and their causes, and points to real-life examples.
