Microenvironmental Tuning in Isostructural Conjugated Metal–Organic Frameworks for Superior Photocatalytic H2O2 Generation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 41, 5 October 2026.
Two isostructural conjugated‐MOFs (Fe‐Tp and Mn‐Tp) photocatalysts were engineered with nonequivalent microenvironmental redox tuning for hydrogen peroxide production. The manganese analog engages both the oxygen reduction reaction and the water oxidation reaction while suppressing decomposition, delivering 10 487 µmol g−1 h−1 with an apparent quantum ...

Measuring mechanical properties of soft microspheres: Implications for degenerative arthritis treatment

open access: yesPolymer International, Volume 75, Issue 11, Page 1176-1182, November 2026.
Soft microspheres can be used to reduce inflammation that causes pain in arthritis patients. Their mechanical properties were evaluated using osmotic compression and capillary micromechanics. Both methods yielded consistent compressive modulus values, validating each other. These results support the development of tunable microspheres for effective and

Geometry‐Driven Whispering‐Gallery Modes in Self‐Assembled Phosphorescent Organic Microtubes

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 38, 16 October 2026.
Micelles encapsulating tris(2‐phenylpyridine)iridium(III) self‐assemble into a hollow hexagonal microtube stabilized by a surface passivation layer. The hexagonal cross‐section confines circulating light along its facets, sustaining sharp whispering‐gallery resonances that guide photoluminescence emission under laser excitation.
