Glass Model, Hubbard Model and High-Temperature Superconductivity
In this paper we revisit the glass model describing the macroscopic behavior of the High-Temperature superconductors. We link the glass model at the microscopic level to the striped phase phenomenon, recently discussed widely.

Aerodynamic size separation of glass fiber aerosols
The objective of this study was to investigate the efficacy of an aerodynamic separation scheme for obtaining aerosols with nearly monodisperse fiber lengths as test samples for mechanistic toxicological evaluations. The approach involved the separation of aerosolized glass fibers using an Aerodynamic Aerosol Classifier (AAC) or a multi-cyclone ...

Dynamical Critical Phenomena in three-dimensional Heisenberg Spin Glasses
Spin-glass (SG) and chiral-glass (CG) orderings in three dimensional (3D) Heisenberg spin glass with and without magnetic anisotropy are studied by using large-scale off-equilibrium Monte Carlo simulations.

Dimensional change of acrylic resin plate after the reinforcement of glass fibre
The effect of fibre reinforcement of polymethyl methacrylate was investigated. Glass fibres have been studied as strengthening material added to polymethyl methacrylate.

Phase Transition in the Two-Dimensional Gauge Glass
The two-dimensional XY gauge glass, which describes disordered superconducting grains in strong magnetic fields, is investigated, with regard to the possibility of a glass transition.

Optimum Design of Glass–Air Disordered Optical Fiber with Two Different Element Sizes
This paper presents a detailed study investigating the effect of the material refractive index distribution at the local position of a glass–air disordered optical fiber (G-DOF) on its localized beam radius. It was found that the larger the proportion of

Numerical simulations on the 4d Heisenberg spin glass
We study the 4d Heisenberg spin glass model with Gaussian nearest-neighbor interactions. We use finite size scaling to analyze the data. We find a behavior consistent with a finite temperature spin glass transition.
