Pharmacokinetic Analysis of Glaucocalyxin A in Rat Plasma by Liquid-Liquid Extraction and HPLC

Planta Medica, 2009
A validated HPLC method is described for determination of glaucocalyxin A in rat plasma using liquid-liquid extraction and UV absorbance detection. The extraction recovery of glaucocalyxin A ranged from 81.72 % to 79.25 %, the linear range was 0.2-10 microg/mL, and R was 0.9984.

Glaucocalyxin A and B Regulate Growth and Induce Oxidative Stress in Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) Roots

Journal of Plant Growth Regulation, 2013
Glaucocalyxin (Gla) A–C are major ent-kaurane diterpenoids isolated from Isodon japonicus var. glaucocalyx (Maxim.) H. W. Li. This study investigated the possible interference of these diterpenoids with root growth and its mechanism of action in lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) seedlings.

Quantitative determination of glaucocalyxin A in rat plasma by LC-MS/MS: Application to a preclinical pharmacokinetic study

Analytical Methods, 2013
A rapid and sensitive LC-MS/MS method for the determination of glaucocalyxin A (GLA) in rat plasma using oridonin as an internal standard was developed and validated. Chromatogram separation was performed on a reversed phase C18 column, using acetonitrile: 2 mM ammonium acetate containing 0.05% formic acid (45:55, v/v) as the mobile phase.

Validation of an UHPLC-MS/MS Method for the Determination of Glaucocalyxin A, a Novel Potent Negative Akt Regulator in Rat Plasma, Lung and Brain Tissues: Application to a Pharmacokinetic Study.

Journal of Chromatographic Science, 2019
Glaucocalyxin A, a novel potent negative Akt regulator, is a major active constituent of Rabdosia japonica. A simple, specific and sensitive ultra-high pressure liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) method was developed and ...

[Effect of glaucocalyxin A on level of Th1/Th2 type cytokines in mice].

Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 2007
To research the effect of glaucocalyxin A (GLA) on the level of Th1/Th2 type cytokines in mice.By using flow cytometer with CBA software to detect Th1/Th2 type cytokines.GLA had insighificant inhibitory effects on Th1 and Th2 cytokines (IL-2, IFN-gamma,TNF-alpha, IL-4 and IL-5) induced by ConA, in which more potential on cytokines from Th1 than those ...

Effects of glaucocalyxin A on aggregation and cAMP levels of rabbit platelets in vitro.

Zhongguo yao li xue bao = Acta pharmacologica Sinica, 1993
Glaucocalyxin A (Gla A) is a new diterpenoid isolated from ethereal extract of the leaves of Rabdosia japonica (Burm f) Hara var glaucocalyx (Maxim) Hara (Labiatae) collected in Northeastern China. When incubated with washed rabbit platelets, Gla A inhibited ADP-, AA-, and PAF-induced aggregation of rabbit platelets with IC50 values of 3.44, 13.32, and
