The anesthetic consideration of a gravid patient with osteogenesis imperfecta undergoing cesarean section: A case report.

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 11, Issue 4, April 2023., 2023
Abstract Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) is a rare disorder of bone fragility. Gravid patients with OI usually need cesarean and may present multiple challenges. We present a case of an OI patient with severe scoliosis and an anticipated difficult airway undergoing cesarean section, with details on perioperative assessment and strategy of anesthesia.

Video Laryngoscope Assistance in Button Battery Retrieval

open access: yesCase Reports in Anesthesiology, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
Foreign body ingestion remains a common cause of pediatric emergency surgery with button battery ingestion of particular concern. Newer, higher power lithium batteries can cause catastrophic damage of the gastrointestinal tract through erosion of mucosa into surrounding structures. Prompt diagnosis and treatment are paramount.

Cuff inflation technique is better than Magill forceps technique to facilitate nasotracheal intubation guiding by GlideScope® video laryngoscope

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, Volume 38, Issue 8, Page 796-803, August 2022., 2022
Abstract Video laryngoscopy is often selected to assist nasotracheal intubation in allowing better laryngeal visualization, although there is no comparative study evaluating the effectiveness between auxiliary techniques by using Magill forceps and inflated cuff in GlideScope video laryngoscopy for nasotracheal intubation.
