Intuition or Analysis? How Entrepreneurial Motivations Shape Decision‐Making Under Uncertainty

open access: yesStrategic Change, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Entrepreneurs frequently encounter ambiguous, uncertain situations that, despite limited information, require critical decisions. Their decisions are not homogeneous and, while prior research has emphasized external factors such as industry experience or context, these alone do not fully explain the heterogeneity observed in entrepreneurial ...

The use of edible insects in human food

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract The world population is expected to reach approximately 10 billion people by 2050, which will significantly increase global food demand and may lead to agricultural shortages and a higher risk of food insecurity. In this context, this review discusses the potential of insects as alternative sources of animal protein, addressing their ...

Exploring Nuclear Forces with Pulsar Glitch Observations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We connect nuclear forces to one of the most notable irregular behaviors observed in pulsars, already detected in approximately 6% of known pulsars, with increasingly accurate data expected from upcoming high-precision timing instruments both on the ...

Highly Durable and Uniform Structural Coloration via Spray‐Coated Organic Mie Resonators Randomly Distributed in Three Dimensions

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates uniform, durable non‐iridescent structural coloration using polystyrene nanoparticles randomly embedded in a thick sodium silicate with absorptive additives. By suppressing the effects of the structure factor and multiple scattering, this approach achieves uniform coloration from the backscattering.

Extending the hyper‐logistic model to the random setting: New theoretical results with real‐world applications

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
We develop a full randomization of the classical hyper‐logistic growth model by obtaining closed‐form expressions for relevant quantities of interest, such as the first probability density function of its solution, the time until a given fixed population is reached, and the population at the inflection point.
