Efficient Delay Characterization Method to Obtain the Output Waveform of Logic Gates Considering Glitches

open access: yesIranian Journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2019
Accurate delay calculation of circuit gates is very important in timing analysis of digital circuits. Waveform shapes on the input ports of logic gates should be considered, in the characterization phase of delay calculation, to obtain accurate gate ...

In planta analysis of the mode of action of cinmethylin and confirmation of fatty acyl‐ACP thioesterases (FATs) as primary site of action

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
In planta analysis of the mode of action of cinmethylin and confirmation of fatty acyl‐ACP thioesterases (FATs) as primary site of action. Cinmethylin inhibits FATs, disrupting eukaryotic de novo lipid biosynthesis and causing defects in cell division, elongation and integrity. We confirm FATs as the primary site of action in planta.

Exploring Nuclear Forces with Pulsar Glitch Observations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We connect nuclear forces to one of the most notable irregular behaviors observed in pulsars, already detected in approximately 6% of known pulsars, with increasingly accurate data expected from upcoming high-precision timing instruments both on the ...

Distracted by a plant: movement of two invasive pentatomids, Halyomorpha halys and Nezara viridula, between companion plants and berry crops

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Adult Halyomorpha halys and Nezara viridula rapidly moved between berry crops and companion plants. Habitat use varied across environmental contexts, demonstrating that companion plantings function as dynamic elements in diversified cropping systems. Abstract BACKGROUND The brown marmorated stink bug Halyomorpha halys and the southern green stink bug ...

On the glitch phenomenon [PDF]

open access: yes, 1976
. The Principle of the Glitch states that for any device which makes a discrete decision based upon a continuous range of possible inputs, there are inputs for which it will take arbitrarily long to reach a decision.

Soybean plant architecture influences the capacity of Telenomus podisi to parasitize Euschistus heros eggs: implications for field releases

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Increasing soybean plant architectural complexity reduces the ability of Telenomus podisi to parasitize Euschistus heros eggs, highlighting the need to adjust parasitoid release rates in the field according to plant complexity (arrow direction and thickness correspond to the increasing strength of the variable) . Abstract BACKGROUND Plant architectural

Pesticide use in integrated pest and pollinator management framework to protect pollinator health

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 4, Page 1691-1696, April 2025.
Integrated pest management (IPM) emphasizes non‐chemical methods, with pesticides as a last resort, while integrated pest and pollinator management (IPPM) integrates pollinator health into pest control strategies. Abstract Agricultural pesticides have historically been a critical tool in controlling pests and diseases, preventing widespread suffering ...

Further development of adaptive parameter tuning in the numerical weather prediction models of Deutscher Wetterdienst

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
The introduction of adaptive parameter tuning in the numerical weather prediction models of DWD in 2022 substantially improved the forecast quality of near‐surface variables like 2‐m temperature and 2‐m humidity. Since 2023, refinements and extensions, primarily affecting the surface evaporation and its diurnal cycle, have led to further advances ...
