A Soft Microrobot for Single‐Cell Transport, Spheroid Assembly, and Dual‐Mode Drug Screening

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A soft, untethered hydrogel microrobot enables precise single‐cell delivery, self‐assembly into 3D spheroids, and real‐time thermal actuation. Driven by light‐induced convection and embedded with gold nanorods and temperature sensors, the microrobot guides cells, modulates local microenvironments, and supports drug testing.

Stability analysis of a fractional-order two-species facultative mutualism model with harvesting

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2017
We present a fractional-order model of two-species facultative mutualism with harvesting. We investigate the stability of the equilibrium points of the model by using the linearization method for noncoexistence of equilibrium points and the Lyapunov ...

Laser‐Synthesized Amorphous PdSe2‐x Nanoparticles: A Defect‐Rich Platform for High‐Efficiency SERS, Photocatalysis, and Photothermal Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Using femtosecond ablation, we show that an ordered, stoichiometric crystalline PdSe2 target can be controllably converted into a stable, disordered, non‐stoichiometric, and highly functional amorphous nanomaterial, PdSe2−x${\rm PdSe}_{2-x}$. The obtained nanoparticles offer significant advantages over conventional planar plasmon‐free substrates due to

LMI-Based Criterion for the Robust Stability of 2D Discrete State-Delayed Systems Using Generalized Overflow Nonlinearities

open access: yesJournal of Control Science and Engineering, 2011
This paper addresses the problem of global asymptotic stability of a class of discrete uncertain state-delayed systems described by the Fornasini-Marchesini second local state-space (FMSLSS) model using generalized overflow nonlinearities.

Stability and Hopf Bifurcation Analysis of a Fractional-order Leslie-Gower Prey-predator-parasite System with Delay

open access: yesChaos Theory and Applications, 2022
A fractional-order Leslie-Gower prey-predator-parasite system with delay is proposed in this article. The existence and uniqueness of the solutions, as well as their non-negativity and boundedness, are studied.

Ultra‐Thin Soft Pneumatic Actuation for Minimally Invasive Neural Interfacing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Parylene C is a common polymer in bioelectronics, favored for its biological and chemical inertness. However, this makes bonding layers of Parylene C together very challenging. Here it is a laser to selectively weld layers of Parylene C to create high‐pressure fluidic actuation devices.

Global Asymptotic Stability for a Fourth-Order Rational Difference Equation

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2009
Our aim is to investigate the global behavior of the following fourth-order rational difference equation: 𝑥𝑛+1=(𝑥𝑛𝑥𝑛−2𝑥𝑛−3+𝑥𝑛+𝑥𝑛−2+𝑥𝑛−3+𝑎)/(𝑥𝑛𝑥𝑛−2+𝑥𝑛𝑥𝑛−3+𝑥𝑛−2𝑥𝑛−3+1+𝑎), 𝑛=0,1,2,… where 𝑎∈[0,∞) and the initial values

Formation Control of Multi‐Agent System with Local Interaction and Artificial Potential Field

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article proposes a local interaction‐based formation control method for Multi‐Agent system, integrating consensus and leader‐follower strategies with a stress response mechanism—artificial potential field to reduce communication overhead and enable obstacle avoidance. Experimental results on triangular, square, and hexagonal formations confirm its

Backpropagation Through Soft Body: Investigating Information Processing in Brain–Body Coupling Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This study explores how information processing is distributed between brains and bodies through a codesign approach. Using the “backpropagation through soft body” framework, brain–body coupling agents are developed and analyzed across several tasks in which output is generated through the agents’ physical dynamics.
