Molecular Adsorbing Host•Guest (MAHG) Crystals: A New Paradigm for Porous Materials?

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Networking! Introduction of guest molecules in macrocycles before crystallization profoundly influences the material obtained in terms of structure and function. Beside simplicity and porous space improvement, this approach is endowed with a huge potential given the myriad of potential guest molecules that can be used to tune this burgeoning class of ...

Control of Polarization and Polar Helicity in BiFeO3 by Epitaxial Strain and Interfacial Chemistry

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In BiFeO3 thin films, the interplay of interfacial chemistry, electrostatics, and epitaxial strain is engineered to stabilize homohelicity in polarization textures at the domain scale. The synergistic use of a Bi2O2‐terminated Aurivillius buffer layer and a highly anisotropic compressive epitaxial strain offers new routes to control the polar‐texture ...

Permanence and Global Attractivity of a Discrete Two-Prey One-Predator Model with Infinite Delay

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2009
A discrete two-prey one-predator model with infinite delay is proposed. A set of sufficient conditions which guarantee the permanence of the system is obtained. By constructing a suitable Lyapunov functional, we also obtain sufficient conditions ensuring

Self‐Sintering Ionogel Binder for Flexible, Recyclable, and Healable Printed Giant Magnetoresistive Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Electronic waste has emerged as a major environmental challenge, driven by the massive consumption and a limited lifetime of modern electronic devices, stimulating the development of sustainable electronics. Here, an all‐biomaterial gelatin‐choline‐citric acid ([Ch][CA]) ionogel is developed as an active binder to realize self‐sintered ...

A global attractivity result for maps with invariant boxes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We present a global attractivity result for maps generated by systems of autonomous difference equations. It is assumed that the map of the system leaves invariant a box, is monotone in a coordinate-wise sense (but not necessarily monotone with respect ...

Global attractivity in delayed differential equations with applications to “food-limited” population model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A new criterion is built, which guarantees the global attractivity of zero solution for equation having the form x′(t)=(1+x(t))F(t,xt). The behavior of global solution on R is also addressed.

Electrode and Microstructure Dependence of Oxygen Diffusion in Ferroelectric Hafnium Zirconium Oxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Significant nanoscale oxygen diffusion coefficient variations are measured in ferroelectric hafnium zirconium oxide films with grain boundaries and electrode interfaces exhibiting values 104 times larger than the grain cores. Overall coefficients are 10X larger for films prepared with metal nitride electrodes compared to refractory metals. New insights

Dynamic Behaviors in a Droop Model for Phytoplankton Growth in a Chemostat with Nutrient Periodically Pulsed Input

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2012
The dynamic behaviors in a droop model for phytoplankton growth in a chemostat with nutrient periodically pulsed input are studied. A series of new criteria on the boundedness, permanence, extinction, existence of positive periodic solution, and global ...
