Synchronization, attractor fission, and attractor fusion in a globally coupled laser system

Physical Review A, 1992
A globally coupled class-B laser array with incoherent feedback is proposed for exploring the complex dynamics of dynamical systems with the highest connectivity. This feedback shows a fundamental characteristic, information lag, and results in the general features of synchronization, attractor fission, and attractor fusion processes.

Global Attractors and Basic Turbulence

1994
We consider a dynamical system defined by a nonlinear partial differential equation (PDE) on a Banach space X. If for reasonably smooth initial data there exist unique solutions exhibiting complex nonlocal irregular behaviour, we say that the system is turbulent.

Global Attractors of Nonautonomous Difference Equations

2006
The article is devoted to the study of global attractors of quasi-linear non-autonomous difference equations, in particular we give the conditions for the existence of a compact global attractor. The obtained results are applied to the study of a triangular economic growth model recently developed by Brianzoni S., Mammana C. and Michetti E.

Global Attractors: Topology and Finite-Dimensional Dynamics

Journal of Dynamics and Differential Equations, 1999
Many dissipative evolution equations possess a global attractor \(A\) with finite Hausdorff dimension \(d\). The existence of such an attractor naturally leads to the question of whether there is a finite-dimensional system that will adequately capture the asymptotic nature of the original flow.

Cycles and Global Attractors of Reaction Systems

2014
Reaction systems are a recent formal model inspired by the chemical reactions that happen inside cells and possess many different dynamical behaviours. In this work we continue a recent investigation of the complexity of detecting some interesting dynamical behaviours in reaction system. We prove that detecting global behaviours such as the presence of

Global attractor alphabet of neural firing modes

Journal of Neurophysiology, 2013
The elementary set, or alphabet, of neural firing modes is derived from the widely accepted conductance-based rectified firing-rate model. The firing dynamics of interacting neurons are shown to be governed by a multidimensional bilinear threshold discrete iteration map. The parameter-dependent global attractors of the map morph into 12 attractor types.

The Global Attractor Under Discretisation

1990
The effect of temporal discretisation on dissipative differential equations is analysed. We discuss the effect of discretisation on the global attractor and survey some recent results in the area. The advantage of concentrating on ω and α limit sets (which are contained in the global attractor) is described.

Global versus local Heuristic Terminal Attractor

1995
The Heuristic Terminal Attractor (H.T.A) [2,3] is one of the most widely used algorithms for training feedforward neural networks. This algorithm ensures the completion of the learning process in finite time, as well as reaching the global minimum of the error function. The H.T.A.
