Global perspectives on patient-centered outcomes: advancing patient-centered cancer clinical trials globally

JNCI Monographs
Abstract Patient-centered clinical trials prioritize the patient experience and outcomes that matter most to those affected by cancer. By centering on patient values and experiences, patient-centered outcomes research generates evidence to inform policies and practices, facilitating more personalized and effective cancer care.

Global deployment of data centers

IEEE Internet Computing, 2002
Apart from an increased focus on security and the additional server software needed to support the emerging standards, the logical architecture of data centers should be able to meet the demands of these new applications without major changes. Important lessons for the future are thus available in today's solutions for global data center deployment.

Eye‐Centered Color Adaptation in Global Illumination

Computer Graphics Forum, 2013
AbstractColor adaptation is a well known ability of the human visual system (HVS). Colors are perceived as constant even though the illuminant color changes. Indeed, the perceived color of a diffuse white sheet of paper is still white even though it is illuminated by a single orange tungsten light, whereas it is orange from a physical point of view ...

Global shifting of data centers demand

IEEE PES Innovative Smart Grid Technologies, Europe, 2014
Data centers are a large energy user, accounting for an increasing portion, currently over 1.5% of the worlds electricity consumption. They have the potential to provide a significant Demand Response to the power system, by reducing and consolidating their server loads or increasing temperature set points.

From Global Manufacturing Center into Global Innovation Center: The Case of the Yangtze River Delta

2014
We theoretically explore the dynamism of transformation from global manufacturing center into global innovation center, and empirically examine how manufacturing agglomeration affects innovation output of the Yangtze River Delta, employing expanded Feldman and Florida’s geographic innovation function (1994).

A global Newton method II: Analytic centers

Mathematical Programming, 1993
The author modifies the convergence conditions of a ``backtracking'' global Newton method announced in his previous paper [Ser. Discret. Math. Theor. Comput. Sci. 4, 301-307 (1991; Zbl 0753.58004)] making them sharper and easier to apply. A new version of the Kantorovich inequalities is presented that is simple to state and prove.
