The macroeconomic effects of adapting to high-end sea-level rise via protection and migration
The authors calculated the economy-wide costs of sea level rise and possible adaptation options. Protection clearly pays off and when combining protection and coastal migration, costs can be brought down further, yet, residual damage costs are large.

Global Climate Services: A Typology of Global Decisions Influenced by Climate Risk [PDF]
Climate services are ideally co-developed by scientists and stakeholders working together to identify decisions and user needs. Yet, while climate services have been developed at regional to local scales, relatively little attention has been paid to the global scale.

(Nearly) A Decade of Directly Measured Sediment N2 Fluxes: What Can Narragansett Bay Tell Us About the Global Ocean Nitrogen Budget? [PDF]
The tight coupling between nitrogen and carbon cycling has important implications for global climate. These two cycles are under growing anthropogenic pressures (e.g., warming temperatures, changes in nitrogen loading).

Local ecosystem feedbacks and critical transitions in the climate [PDF]
Global and regional climate models, such as those used in IPCC assessments, are the best tools available for climate predictions. Such models typically account for large-scale land-atmosphere feedbacks.

Revisiting the climate impacts of cool roofs around the globe using an Earth system model
Solar reflective ‘cool roofs’ absorb less sunlight than traditional dark roofs, reducing solar heat gain, and decreasing the amount of heat transferred to the atmosphere.
