Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) is a technique employed to extract maximum power available from a photovoltaic (PV) module under varying atmospheric conditions. It traces the PV operating voltage corresponding to the maximum power point (MPP) and operates the panel at MPP. However, if a PV array is partially shaded, the conventional MPPT techniques

2017 19th European Conference on Power Electronics and Applications (EPE'17 ECCE Europe), 2017
In this work, an Analog Global Maximum Power Point Tracker (A-GMPPT) is introduced and discussed. The underlying idea of this A-GMPPT is the peak power tracking using a capacitive load, in particular the filter input capacitance of the DC/DC converter.

Global maximum power point tracking based on new extremum seeking control scheme
Progress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, 2015AbstractA new perturbedābased extremum seeking control (PESC) scheme is proposed in this paper to track the global maximum power point (GMPP). The PESC scheme has two control loops based on power of the photovoltaic (PV) array: the first loop operates as usually to track the maximum power point and the second sweeps all local MPPs to locate the GMPP ...
