Virtual domination of 3‐manifolds II
Abstract For any closed oriented 3‐manifold M$M$ with positive simplicial volume and any closed oriented 3‐manifold N$N$, we prove that there exists a finite cover M′$M^{\prime }$ of M$M$ that admits a degree‐1 map f:M′→N$f:M^{\prime }\rightarrow N$, that is, M$M$ virtually 1‐dominates N$N$.

Existence and Uniqueness of Green's Functions to Nonlinear Yamabe Problems
Abstract For a given finite subset S of a compact Riemannian manifold (M,g) whose Schouten curvature tensor belongs to a given cone, we establish a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence and uniqueness of a conformal metric on M\S such that each point of S corresponds to an asymptotically flat end and that the Schouten tensor of the ...

On the systole growth in congruence quaternionic hyperbolic manifolds
Abstract We provide an explicit lower bound for the systole in principal congruence covers of compact quaternionic hyperbolic manifolds. We also prove the optimality of this lower bound.

Data analysis on nonstandard spaces
Surveying many non‐Euclidean statistical problems with ingenious solutions, we uncover new ones, keeping mathematicians, statisticians, computer and data scientists busy for a while. Abstract The task to write on data analysis on nonstandard spaces is quite substantial, with a huge body of literature to cover, from parametric to nonparametrics, from ...

Some Eigenvalues Estimate for the ϕ‐Laplace Operator on Slant Submanifolds of Sasakian Space Forms
This paper is aimed at establishing new upper bounds for the first positive eigenvalue of the ϕ‐Laplacian operator on Riemannian manifolds in terms of mean curvature and constant sectional curvature. The first eigenvalue for the ϕ‐Laplacian operator on closed oriented m‐dimensional slant submanifolds in a Sasakian space form M~21k+ε is estimated in ...

Constant scalar curvature metrics on connected sums
The Yamabe problem (proved in 1984) guarantees the existence of a metric of constant scalar curvature in each conformal class of Riemannian metrics on a compact manifold of dimension n ≥ 3, which minimizes the total scalar curvature on this conformal class. Let (M′, g′) and (M″, g″) be compact Riemannian n‐manifolds. We form their connected sumM′#M″ by

Dual spaces of geodesic currents
Abstract Every geodesic current on a hyperbolic surface has an associated dual space. If the current is a lamination, this dual embeds isometrically into a real tree. We show that, in general, the dual space is a Gromov hyperbolic metric tree‐graded space, and express its Gromov hyperbolicity constant in terms of the geodesic current.

Relative cubulation of relative strict hyperbolization
Abstract We prove that many relatively hyperbolic groups obtained by relative strict hyperbolization admit a cocompact action on a CAT(0)$\operatorname{CAT}(0)$ cubical complex. Under suitable assumptions on the peripheral subgroups, these groups are residually finite and even virtually special.

Relatively Anosov representations via flows II: Examples
Abstract This is the second in a series of two papers that develops a theory of relatively Anosov representations using the original “contracting flow on a bundle” definition of Anosov representations introduced by Labourie and Guichard–Wienhard. In this paper, we focus on building families of examples.

De Sitter and Schwarzschild-De Sitter According to Schwarzschild and De Sitter
When de Sitter first introduced his celebrated spacetime, he claimed, following Schwarzschild, that its spatial sections have the topology of the real projective space RP^3 (that is, the topology of the group manifold SO(3)) rather than, as is almost ...
