A Solar Constant Model for Sun-climate Studies: 1600-2000AD [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
Discussed here is the solar constant model published recently (Schatten, 1988), but with a modified phasing and amplitude. This model enables the known solar constant variations to be calculated from known active region and quiet region solar parameters.

Defects Dynamic in Photo‐Excited CeO2 and their Influence on CO2 Photoreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy study under light excitation is presented to track the defect dynamic (Ce4+ to Ce3+) in CeO2. Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy confirmed the key role of Ce3+ states in controlling charge and energy transfer across the CeO2‐dye molecule interface.

An hourly solar radiation prediction model using eXtreme gradient boosting algorithm with the effect of fog-haze

open access: yesEnergy and Built Environment
Hourly global solar radiation data is an important factor for solar energy utilization. Due to the lack of solar radiation observation stations in many areas, some hourly solar radiation models are proposed to predict hourly solar radiation. However, the

Newly found evidence of Sun-climate relationships [PDF]

open access: yes
Solar radiation cycles drive climatic changes intercyclically. These interdecadal changes were detected as variations in solar total irradiances over the time period of recorded global surface-air-temperature (SAT) and have been restored utilizing Earth ...
