The solar energy reaching a given surface is directly dependent on the orientation thereof and the position of the sun. To get maximum energy from the sun, it is necessary a good solar receiver orientation towards the solar radiation where the solar ...

Relationship between the longwave cloud radiative forcing at the surface and the top of the atmosphere [PDF]
In order to achieve global coverage, any surface radiation climatology has to be based on satellite observations. In the last decade several schemes have been devised to obtain the surface solar insolation from top of the atmosphere reflected solar ...

All‐perovskite tandem solar cells are evaluated under low‐intensity and low‐temperature (LILT) conditions relevant to space environments. Distinct loss regimes emerge, where weaker entropic mixing causes halide segragation below ≈240 K going along with a strong current imbalance, while poor electron transport in C60 dominates.

Correlation and Persistence in Global Solar Radiation
This work is focused on the investigation of correlations and memory effects in daily global solar radiation data series and in the capture of underlying multifractality. It is well known that the behaviour of the climatological variables affect directly crucial aspects of the people’s daily lives.

A solvent engineering strategy using polar polymers is introduced to regulate perovskite crystallization dynamics in solar cells. Strongly polarized fluorinated groups stabilize the intermediate phase and control solvent exfoliation, leading to high‐quality films with suppressed defects.

We report a scalable strategy using PPG‐coated α‐FAPbI3 microcrystals that may be processed in air and undergo controlled redissolution to form highly oriented, defect‐suppressed perovskite films. The PSCs derived from these films deliver a PCE of 26.5% and exhibit enhanced stability, demonstrating potential for industrial large‐scale perovskite ...

A simplified method for calculating the atmospheric heating rate by absorption of solar radiation in the stratosphere and mesosphere [PDF]
Calculations of the atmospheric heating rate by absorption of solar radiation by O3, H2O, and CO2 are reported. The method needs only seven parameters for each molecule and is particularly useful for heating calculations in three-dimensional global ...

Photocatalytic Water Splitting on the Lunar Surface: Prospects for In Situ Resource Utilization
Water has been found in craters on the moon nearby locations which are illuminated >80% of the time. Photocatalysis uses energy from sunlight to drive chemical reactions such as water splitting to produce oxygen and hydrogen. It is a scalable technology that requires lighter equipment and utilizes resources available on the moon. ABSTRACT The discovery
