Global stability analysis and stabilization of power amplifiers [PDF]

open access: yes2008 Microwaves, Radar and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2008
Power amplifiers often exhibit undesired behavior from certain input power value which cannot be predicted with a small-signal stability analysis. Among the commonly observed undesired phenomena are spurious oscillations, frequency divisions, hysteresis or chaos.

Stability of Global Monopoles Revisited [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2000
We analyze the stability of global O(3) monopoles in the infinite cutoff (or scalar mass) limit. We obtain the perturbation equations and prove that the spherically symmetric solution is classically stable (or neutrally stable) to axially symmetric, square integrable, or power-law decay perturbations.

A General Multipatch Model of Ebola Dynamics

open access: yesNonautonomous Dynamical Systems, 2021
A model for the transmission dynamics of Ebola virus in a multipatch network setting is studied. The model considers the contribution to the dynamics by people who are susceptible, infectious, isolated, deceased but still infectious and not yet buried ...

Modeling Citrus Huanglongbing transmission within an orchard and its optimal control

open access: yesMathematical Biosciences and Engineering, 2020
Citrus Huanglongbing (HLB) is the most devastating citrus disease worldwide. In this paper, a deterministic dynamical model is proposed to explore the transmission dynamics of HLB between citrus tree and Asian citrus psyllid (ACP).

Global dynamics of a modified Leslie-Gower predator-prey model with Beddington-DeAngelis functional response and prey-taxis

open access: yesElectronic Research Archive, 2022
In this paper, our purpose is to discuss the global dynamics of a modified Leslie-Gower predator-prey model with Beddington-DeAngelis functional response and prey-taxis under homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions.

The Global Stability of our Galaxy [PDF]

open access: yesSymposium - International Astronomical Union, 1985
Many mass models of our Galaxy (see e.g. Schmidt 1985 for a review) assume the disc to be nearly axisymmetric. For consistency, therefore, no such model should possess gross non-axisymmetric instabilities. However, most attribute less than half the central attraction at the Sun to bulge and halo material - a situation where bar forming instabilities ...

Global stability in job systems

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1988
A simple job system with n grades is introduced here and it is described by a system \(\dot x_ i=x_ i\sum^{n}_{j=1}a_{ij}x_ j\), \(i=1,2,...,n\). The per capita growth rate coefficients \(a_{ij}\) are such that \(a_{ii}0\), \(i\neq j\). Under these conditions a complete picture of the phase portrait of the system is presented as follows: Let \(A=(a_{ij}

Global stability of a delayed and diffusive virus model with nonlinear infection function

open access: yesJournal of Biological Dynamics, 2021
This paper studies a delayed viral infection model with diffusion and a general incidence rate. A discrete-time model was derived by applying nonstandard finite difference scheme. The positivity and boundedness of solutions are presented.

An SEIR model with infectious latent and a periodic vaccination strategy

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2021
An SEIR epidemic model with a nonconstant vaccination strategy is studied. This SEIR model has two disease transmission rates β1 and β2 which imitate the fact that, for some infectious diseases, a latent person can pass the disease into a susceptible one.

Stability and bifurcation analysis of an HIV-1 infection model with a general incidence and CTL immune response

open access: yesJournal of Biological Dynamics, 2021
In this paper, with eclipse stage in consideration, we propose an HIV-1 infection model with a general incidence rate and CTL immune response. We first study the existence and local stability of equilibria, which is characterized by the basic infection ...
