Design and Prototyping of Topology‐Optimized, Additively Manufactured Lightweight Components for Space Robotic Systems: A Case Study

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The results demonstrate a simulation‐driven workflow that applies LSB topology optimization with additive manufacturing constraints to mission‐specific load cases, integrating European Cooperation for Space Standardization compliant verification and manufacturability to develop structurally efficient rover suspension components.

Non-Lorentzian expansions of the Lorentz force and kinematical algebras

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We consider non-Lorentzian expansions, Galilean and Carrollian, of the Lorentz force equation in which both the particle position and the electro-magnetic field are expanded.

Removing Homocoupling Defects in Alkoxy/Alkyl‐PBTTT Enhances Polymer:Fullerene Co‐Crystal Formation and Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
PBTTT‐OR‐R, a C14‐alkoxy/alkyl‐PBTTT polymer derivative, is of substantial interest for optoelectronics due to its specific fullerene intercalation behavior and enhanced charge‐transfer absorption. Comparing this polymer with (S) and without (O) homocoupling defects reveals that PBTTT‐OR‐R(O) forms stable co‐crystals with PC61BM, while PBTTT‐OR‐R(S ...

Generalized unitary evolution for symplectic scalar fermions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The theory of symplectic scalar fermion of LeClair and Neubert is studied. The theory evades the conventional spin-statistics theorem because its Hamiltonian is pseudo Hermitian. The definition of pseudo Hermiticity is examined in the interacting and the

Emerging Non-Anomalous Baryonic Symmetries in the AdS_5/CFT_4 Correspondence

open access: yes, 2011
We study the breaking of baryonic symmetries in the AdS_5/CFT_4 correspondence for D3 branes at Calabi-Yau three-fold singularities. This leads, for particular VEVs, to the emergence of non-anomalous baryonic symmetries during the renormalization group ...

Global Symmetries and N=2 SUSY

open access: yesLetters in mathematical physics, 2013
We prove that N=2 theories that arise by taking n free hypermultiplets and gauging a subgroup of Sp(n), the non-R global symmetry of the free theory, have a remaining global symmetry which is a direct sum of unitary, symplectic, and special orthogonal factors.

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Consequences of symmetry fractionalization without 1-form global symmetries

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
A bstract We study the fractionalization of 0-form global symmetries on line operators in theories without 1-form global symmetries. The projective transformation properties of line operators are renormalization group invariant, and we derive constraints which are similar to ...

Understanding and Optimizing Li Substitution in P2‐Type Sodium Layered Oxides for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores Li‐substituted P2 layered oxides for Na‐ion batteries by crystallographic and electrochemical studies. The effect of lithium on superstructure orderings, on phase transitions during synthesis and electrochemical cycling and on the interplay of O‐ versus TM‐redox is revealed via various advanced techniques, including semi‐simultaneous
