The Econometrics of Global Warming

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2021
Evidence-based policy of global warming is best relying on a relevant sample of data. We choose a sample of annual data from 1959 to-date to provide some statistically robust stylized facts about the relationships between actual CO2 and temperature. Visually, there is a clear upward trend in both data.

Farming and global warming

Veterinary Record, 2019
While I agree with ffinlo Costain that intensive animal farming is unsustainable, due to the quantity of feed that is required,1 I believe it is misleading to promote extensive livestock farming as an acceptable alternative ( VR , 12 October 2019, vol 185, p 449). There are several reasons for this.

An overview of global warming

Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, 1992
Abstract Temperature records indicate that the global annual mean surface air temperature (referred to as the global temperature) has risen by 0.5°C since 1840. According to recent general circulation model calculations, by the year 2020 the global mean temperature will have risen to 1.3 to 2.5°C above the preindustrial (1840) mean.

Global Warming Continues

Science, 2002
The second warmest global surface temperature in more than a century of instrumental data ([1][1]) was recorded in the 2001 meteorological year (December 2000 through November 2001) (see panel A). The calendar year 2001 will also be the second warmest year on record, as the 11-month temperature anomaly exceeds that in the next warmest years (1990 and ...

Global Warming Report

Science, 1990
to as supporters ofthe report are reported to be scientists "whose major work is largely outside the grenhouse field." It is hard to know what is meant by this. Virtually no one I know of has devoted his or her career to the "greenhouse field." However, each of the scientists mentioned (Reginald Newell, Jerome Namias, and myself) has published more ...
