Cyclic Perfluorocarbon Radicals and Anions Having High Global Warming Potentials (GWPs):  Structures, Electron Affinities, and Vibrational Frequencies

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2004
Adiabatic electron affinities, optimized molecular geometries, and IR-active vibrational frequencies have been predicted for small cyclic hydrocarbon radicals C(n)H(2)(n)(-)(1) (n = 3-6) and their perfluoro counterparts C(n)F(2)(n)(-)(1) (n = 3-6). Total energies and optimized geometries of the radicals and corresponding anions have been obtained using

Environmental and enviroeconomic analyses of two different turbofan engine families considering landing and take-off (LTO) cycle and global warming potential (GWP) approach

Energy Conversion and Management, 2021
Abstract In this study, environmental and enviroeconomic analyses regarding two different turbofan engine families that are commonly used in commercial aircrafts are carried out at Landing and Take-Off (LTO) cycle involving take-off, climb-out, approach and idle phases.

Comparison greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and global warming potential (GWP) effect of energy use in different wheat agroecosystems in Iran

Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2015
The aims of this study were to determine energy requirement and global warming potential (GWP) in low and high input wheat production systems in western of Iran. For this purpose, data were collected from 120 wheat farms applying questionnaires via face-to-face interviews. Results showed that total energy input and output were 60,000 and 180,000 MJ ha(-

Strong mitigation of net global warming potential (GWP) via short-term aerobic pre-digestion of green manured soil in rice paddy

2020
<p> Cover crop cultivation is strongly recommended during fallow season to increase soil organic carbon (SOC) stock. However, since its biomass recycling as green manure can dramatically increase greenhouse gas (GHG) emission, in particular, methane (CH4) during rice cropping ...

Experimental investigation of energy and exergy performance of secondary loop automotive air-conditioning systems using low-GWP (global warming potential) refrigerants

Energy, 2014
In this study, the energy and exergy performance of secondary loop systems (2LPs) using HFC-152a and HC-290 was investigated. These 2LPs were compared with a HFC-134a direct expansion system as a baseline system. As compared with the baseline, tested refrigerant charge amount was reduced by 28% for the HFC-152a 2LP and 60% for the HC-290 2LP.

Assessing energy efficiencies, economy, and global warming potential (GWP) effects of major crop production systems in Iran: a case study in East Azerbaijan province

Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2017
Efficient use of energy in farming systems is one of the most important implications for decreasing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and mitigating global warming (GW). This paper describes the energy use patterns, analyze the economics, and report global warming potential effects of major crop production systems in East Azerbaijan province, Iran.
