The More You Look the Less You See: 'Visibility and invisibility of Sudanese migrants in Athens, Greece'

open access: yesNordic Journal of Migration Research, 2014
How do undocumented migrants maintain different degrees of visibility in public space? How does public visibility affect the livelihood strategies of undocumented migrants?

Pluriclosed flow on manifolds with globally generated bundles [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
We show global existence and convergence results for the pluriclosed flow on manifolds for which certain naturally associated tensor bundles are globally generated.

Cell‐free DNA aneuploidy score as a dynamic early response marker in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
mFast‐SeqS‐based genome‐wide aneuploidy scores are concordant with aneuploidy scores obtained by whole genome sequencing from tumor tissue and can predict response to ARSI treatment at baseline and, at an early time point, to ARSI and taxanes. This assay can be easily performed at low cost and requires little input of cfDNA. Cell‐free circulating tumor

Statistical process control to monitor use of a web‐based autoplanning tool

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 23, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Purpose To investigate the use of statistical process control (SPC) for quality assurance of an integrated web‐based autoplanning tool, Radiation Planning Assistant (RPA). Methods Automatically generated plans were downloaded and imported into two treatment planning systems (TPSs), RayStation and Eclipse, in which they were recalculated using ...

Global Mackey functors with operations and n-special lambda rings [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
Systematically using the language of groupoids, we survey the theory of global Mackey functors, global Green functors and global power functors. Given a global power functor, we study rings with similar operations. The example of n-class functions leads to the notion of an n-special lambda ring.

Integration of single‐cell and bulk RNA‐sequencing data reveals the prognostic potential of epithelial gene markers for prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Prostate cancer is a leading malignancy with significant clinical heterogeneity in men. An 11‐gene signature derived from dysregulated epithelial cell markers effectively predicted biochemical recurrence‐free survival in patients who underwent radical surgery or radiotherapy.

Treatment planning with a 2.5 MV photon beam for radiation therapy

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 23, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Purpose The shallow depth of maximum dose and higher dose fall‐off gradient of a 2.5 MV beam along the central axis that is available for imaging on linear accelerators is investigated for treatment of shallow tumors and sparing the organs at risk (OARs) beyond it.

Local and global similarity of holomorphic matrices [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
R. Guralnick (Linear Algebra Appl. 99, 85-96, 1988) proved that two holomorphic matrices on a noncompact connected Riemann surface, which are locally holomorphically similar, are globally holomorphically similar. We generalize this to (possibly, non-smooth) one-dimensional Stein spaces.
