Global 2-rings and genuine refinements [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We introduce the notion of a naive global 2-ring: a functor from the opposite of the $\infty$-category of global spaces to presentably symmetric monoidal stable $\infty$-categories. By passing to global sections, every naive global 2-ring decategorifies to a multiplicative cohomology theory on global spaces, i.e. a naive global ring.

Almost Global Homotopy Theory [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
In this paper we develop the definition of a global orthogonal spectrum and its unitary version. It relates $G-$equivariant spectra by equivariant weak equivalence in a coherent way. This category of global spectra has a model structure Quillen equivalent to the global model structure on orthogonal spectra.

Globalization, Global Community, and the Possibility of Global Justice

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2005
In this essay, I suggest five ways in which globalization is changing the cosmopolitan/communitarian debate over global justice, by creating, both inter-subjectively and at the regulatory level, the constitutive elements of a limited global community.

Globalistics And Globalization Studies Global Transformations And Global Future

open access: yes, 2016
The present volume is the fifth in the series of yearbooks with the title Globalistics and Globalization Studies. The subtitle of the present volume is Global Transformations and Global Future. We become more and more accustomed to think globally and to see global processes. And our future can all means be global.

Targeting the MDM2‐MDM4 interaction interface reveals an otherwise therapeutically active wild‐type p53 in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.

Global cognitive radio based communication systems: Space-time communications [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
Spectrum Scarcity is a global problem across the world. This paper emphasizes on the fact that a global problem has to be dealt on global basis, not just locally by applying the principle of global cognitive radio,Global Opportunistic Remote Spectrum Access.

Globalization as Hybridization [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Cultural hybridization refers to the mixing of Asian, African, American, European cultures: hybridization is the making of global culture as a global melange. The very process of hybridization shows the difference to be relative and, with a slight shift of perspective, the relationship can also be described in terms of an affirmation of similarity ...

Thermal proteome profiling and proteome analysis using high‐definition mass spectrometry demonstrate modulation of cholesterol biosynthesis by next‐generation galeterone analog VNPP433‐3β in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Elevated level of cholesterol is positively correlated to prostate cancer development and disease severity. Cholesterol‐lowering drugs, such as statins, are demonstrated to inhibit prostate cancer. VNPP433‐3β interrupts multiple signaling and metabolic pathways, including cholesterol biosynthesis, AR‐mediated transcription of several oncogenes, mRNA 5′

Global private regimes: Neo-spontaneous law and dual constitution of autonomous sectors in world society? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
In the current globalization debate the law appears to be entangled in economic and political developments which move into a new dimension of depoliticization, de-centralization and de-individualization. For all the correct observations in detail, though,
