Globodera rostochiensis

2021
Study of G. rostochiensis biology The development of the G. rostochiensis population ‘HAR1’ from Kenya in the roots of the resistant potato ‘Laura’ and susceptible potato ‘Désirée’ was assessed in the glasshouse experiments and compared with the reference G. rostochiensis population ‘Ecosse’. Eye-plugs were scooped from the pre-germinated tubers of the

Globodera Skarbilovich 1959

2021
Cyst nematodes (Globodera and Heterodera spp.) Cyst nematodes are sedentary endoparasites. They typically have smaller host ranges than the common root-knot nematodes. Several species are among the most serious parasites of their favored host plants, including G. pallidum and G. rostochiensis (potato), H. glycines (soybean) and H.

Ranbpm homologue genes characterised in the cyst nematodes Globodera pallida and Globodera ‘mexicana’

Physiological and Molecular Plant Pathology, 2005
Abstract A homologue of a Ran binding protein to microtubules ( ranbpm ) gene, initially known as IC5, was identified and characterised in second-stage juveniles (J2s) of the potato cyst nematode Globodera pallida. The full-length cDNA (937 bp) was obtained by 5′ and 3′ rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RACE) and specific primers were designed to ...

Microsatellite loci in the phytoparasitic nematodeGlobodera

Genome, 2000
A Globodera pallida genomic library, population Guiclan (Pa2/3), was screened for TG and TC microsatellite motifs. Screening of 50 000 clones revealed 48 positive matches. After sequencing, primers were designed to amplify 14 microsatellite loci. The specificity of the loci was tested with DNA templates of other populations of G.
