Use of the Glomus etunicatum as biocontrol agent of the soybean cyst nematode
This study investigated the effect of arbuscular mycorrhiza (Glomus etunicatum Becker & Gerd.), on the cyst nematode (Heterodera glycines Ichinohe), in a greenhouse. Mycorrhizal and non-mycorrhizal soybean plants were exposed to the pathogen at different initial population densities (0, 500, 1000, 2000, and 4000 nematodes eggs).

Abstract Many studies have reported that salinity has a negative impact on mycorrhiza but mycorrhizae can increase plant growth under salinity stress. This study was conducted to determine the growth and level of dependence of Dalbergia latifolia on mycorrhiza under saline conditions.

EFFECTS OF DROUGHT STRESS ON GROWTH RESPONSE IN CORN, SUDAN GRASS, AND BIG BLUESTEM TO GLOMUS ETUNICATUM* [PDF]
SummaryThe responses of mycorrhizal corn (Zea mays L.), sudan grass [Sorghum vulgare (Piper) Hitch.], and big bluestem (Andropogon gerardii Vitman) under drought stress were compared. Although growth of each of the plant species benefited from the mycorrhizal fungus under adequately watered conditions, inoculation had no effect on the growth of corn or

The effects of zinc toxicity on growth, chlorophyll, total sugar and protein content and mineral content of lettuce plants infected or not by Arbuscular Mycorrhizal (Am) fungus Glomus etunicatum and treated with nutrient solution containing 0, 1.5, 3.5, 5.5, 7.5 mM ZnSO, were studied. The introduction of Zn caused a decrease in the inhibiting effect of

Uptake of Atrazine and Cadmium from Soil by Maize (Zea mays L.) in Association with the Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungus Glomus etunicatum [PDF]
A greenhouse pot experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus Glomus etunicatum on the uptake of atrazine (ATR) and cadmium (Cd) from soil by maize (Zea mays L.). Mycorrhizal colonization led to an increase in the accumulation of Cd and ATR in maize roots but a decrease in the shoots. Atrazine alleviated the

Factors affecting "in vitro" plant development and root colonization of sweet potato by Glomus etunicatum Becker & Gerd [PDF]
Nutrients media (Murashige & Skoog, Hoagland & Arnon and White's media) supplemented or not with sucrose and substrates (vermiculite, agar and natrosol) were tested for their effects on plant development and root colonization of micropropagated sweet potato, cv. White Star, by Glomus etunicatum Becker & Gerdemann (isolate INVAM FL S329).
