A mixed ion‐electron thermoelectric generator (MTEG) based on MXene ionogels converts both steady and fluctuating temperature gradients into continuous electricity. The hybrid conduction arises from electron tunneling through MXene networks and ionic diffusion driven by the Soret effect, enabling stable voltage output and high thermopower for efficient

Bond Strength of Acetylated Wood Glued with Thermoplastics

Based on the 90 datasets, ERT and four optimization algorithms were used to build four hybrid models to predict the UCS of the backfill body. The SMA‐ERT model was the most effective model, and it can reliably guide the design of the backfill ratio parameters. Abstract This study analyzed the feasibility of using titanium (Ti) tailings as a backfilling

The Effect of Clamping Pressure and Orthotropic Wood Structure on Strength of Glued Bonds
Reference values for compression strength perpendicular to the grain were determined for radial and tangential sections of samples of sugar maple and ponderosa pine. Samples to be glued were matched according to specific gravity and orthotropic structure

High‐performance SIB anodes are developed using mangrove wood–derived hard carbon, optimized through controlled carbonization temperatures and pitch‐derived soft carbon coatings. The resulting PC‐10 composite achieves a superior reversible capacity of 297.5 mAh g−1 and an 82% ICE by suppressing irreversible reactions and enhancing interfacial stability

Char Layer Thickness Evolution During Structural Timber Fire Experiment and Final Density Profile
ABSTRACT This paper evaluates several non‐destructive experimental methods for determining the char layer thickness and its density profile in structural timber samples exposed to standard ISO 834 fire curve experiments. Microwave echo pulse, ultrasonic echo pulse, X‐ray computed tomography, and resistance drilling were evaluated.

Fully reversible reinforcement of softwood beams with unbonded composite plates
In this paper, results of flexure tests aimed at improving the structural behaviour of softwood beams reinforced with unglued composite plates and at developing an effective alternative to the use of organic resins are presented.

ABSTRACT Heat induced delamination (HID) is a phenomenon in engineered wood products which may result in the detachment of the bonded timber lamellae before charring propagates to the bond line interphase. This study aims to correlate the thermal degradation of two 1‐c‐polyurethane adhesives at the microscale to the thermo‐hydro‐mechanical behaviour of

Charring Behaviour of Mass Timber: A Comparison of Thin Intumescent Coatings and Plasterboard
ABSTRACT This study compares the charring behaviour of mass timber under varied heating conditions when protected by either different thin intumescent coating types or fire‐rated plasterboard layers. Bench‐scale fire experiments were conducted using the Heat‐Transfer Rate Inducing System (H‐TRIS).
