2-(2,5-Dichlorophenylhydrazono)glutaric Acid and 2-(3,5-Dichlorophenylhydrazono)glutaric Acid
Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 1996The title compounds, C11H10Cl2N2O4, are constitutional isomers which exhibit similar molecular geometry. The configuration about the N=C bond is E in both molecules. The same packing pattern was found in both structures. Hydrogen-bonded dimers, formed around the inversion centres via O-H ...

Conductivity measurements of glutaric acid and disodium glutarate in dilute aqueous solutions were performed in the 288.15 to 323.15 K temperature range. The limiting equivalent conductances of glutarate anions, λo(HGlut−,T) and λo(1/2Glut2−,T), and the dissociation constants of glutaric acid, K1(T) and K2(T), were derived by the use of the Onsager and

GLUTARIC ACID: A POTENTIAL FOOD ACIDULANT
Journal of Food Science, 1976ABSTRACT Some physical and chemical properties of glutaric acid which pertain to its potential use as a food acid were studied. Comparisons were made between it and some approved food acids regarding solubility, hygroscopicity, acidity and rate of sucrose inversion.

Two glutaric acid derivatives from olives
Phytochemistry, 1998Abstract Two linear compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of residues resulting from olive oil processing. These compounds were characterized by NMR and identified as 3-[1-(hydroxymethyl)-(E)1-propenyl] glutaric acid and 3-[1-(formyl)-(E)1-propenyl] glutaric acid.

Isothermal vapor−liquid equilibrium (VLE) data were measured, with a static-type apparatus, for the binary systems of methanol + dimethyl adipate, methanol + dimethyl glutarate, and dimethyl glutarate + glutaric acid at (353.15 to 453.15) K. These systems showed slightly positive deviations from the ideal solution behavior without any azeotrope ...

Habit modelling and verification for glutaric acid
Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1993Crystal morphology is a major consideration in the design and optimization of industrial crystallization processes. Control of crystal morphology allows the optimization of particle properties such as filterability, flowability, and attrition resistance.
