Diabetes, Glycated Hemoglobin, and Risk of Cancer in the UK Biobank Study
Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention, 2020Background: Evidence suggest that diabetes and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels are associated with cancer risk. However, previous studies have been limited variably by failure to adjust for cancer-specific risk factors (e.g., body mass index ...

Glycated Hemoglobin in Insulinoma
Endocrine Practice, 1998To determine whether preoperative levels of glycated hemoglobin (GHb) are lower in patients with functioning insulinoma and, if so, whether a distinct separation of GHb values from those in control subjects might serve for diagnosis. We examined preoperative GHb in consecutive patients (who had this measurement done) with surgically confirmed insulinoma

Glycated hemoglobin in hypoglycemia
Clinica Chimica Acta, 1989The effect of hypoglycemia--caused by hyperinsulinism in insulinoma patients and in diabetic patients with frequent episodes of hypoglycemia--on glycated hemoglobin was studied. The amount of sugar bound to total hemoglobin in hypoglycemia samples was found to be significantly lower than in those which were normal or hyperglycemic.
