Effects of Tai Chi Chuan on balance function in adults 60 years or older with type 2 diabetes and mild cognitive impairment in China: A secondary analysis of a multi‐center randomized clinical trial

Both type 2 diabetes and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) are associated with balance dysfunction. Physical activity benefits balance function, but no evidence from randomized clinical trials has demonstrated whether Tai Chi Chuan was superior to fitness walking in balance function for older adults with type 2 diabetes and MCI.

Effectiveness of the presence of diabetologists for perioperative complications in patients with diabetes undergoing colorectal cancer surgery: A nationwide inpatient database in Japan

This nationwide retrospective cohort study evaluated 24,714 patients with diabetes undergoing colorectal cancer surgery across 887 Japanese facilities and found that the presence of at least one board‐certified diabetologist was associated with a 14% reduction in the risk of perioperative complications (adjusted RR 0.86, 95% CI: 0.77–0.96).
