Abstract The leaching of nitrate-nitrogen (NO 3 N) out of the root zone of soybeans ( Glycine max L. Merr.) was monitored over a 3-year period. Soil percolate was collected montly and soil cores (2.1 m depth) were collected in the spring and fall of each year from plots cultivated using either conventional or no-till practices.
