Remote Activation of Wnt Signaling and Cell Proliferation by E‐Cadherin Magnetomechanical Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A pioneering magnetogenetic toolkit enables non‐invasive, precise spatiotemporal modulation of intracellular Wnt/β‐catenin signaling. Functionalized magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs@E/EC15) target cellular E‐cadherins to generate localized magnetomechanical forces under low‐intensity magnetic fields.

Efficient synthesis and hydrolysis of cyclic oxalate esters of glycols [PDF]

open access: yes
Based on the mechanism postulated for the formation of the cyclic carbonates 3 in the reactions of glycols 1 with oxalyl chloride in the presence of triethylamine, we present here three efficient syntheses of the cyclic oxalates 2 of various glycols 1 by

Borate complexation-assisted capillary electrophoretic determination of ethylene glycol and propylene glycol using capacitively coupled contactless conductivity detection

open access: yesJournal of Chromatography Open
A novel, fast, and reliable analytical method for determining ethylene glycol (EG) and propylene glycol (PG) using capillary electrophoresis (CE) with capacitively coupled contactless conductivity detection (C4D) is proposed.

Programming Neuromorphic Plasticity Through Ionic and Electronic Coupling in Organic Electrochemical Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Neuromorphic plasticity in OECTs is governed by the post‐stimulus evolution of coupled ionic and electronic states. Semiconductor chemistry and morphology, electrolyte composition and interfaces, and device architecture regulate ion injection, transport, confinement, and release, shifting responses from rapidly relaxing STP to metastable memory and ...

A Selective Gas Chromatography–Tandem Mass Spectrometry Method for Quantitation of Ethylene and Diethylene Glycol in Paediatric Syrups

open access: yesHeliyon
Ethylene Glycol (EG) and diethylene Glycol (DEG) are two contaminants known to cause various human health problems. These glycols might be present in drug syrups that are based on glycerol, sorbitol, or polyethylene glycol.

How the Porous Transport Layer Dictates Membrane Electrode Assembly Performance of IrO2 Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The Schottky barrier formed at the catalyst | PTL interface critically governs both the initial performance and long‐term durability of the PEMWE, and its magnitude is dictated by the catalyst's work function. This limitation can be resolved by combining a rutile IrO2 core for efficient electron transfer with an amorphous IrOx shell for high surface ...

Facile Hydrogenolysis of Sugars to 1,2-Glycols by Ru@PPh3/OPPh3 Confined Large-Pore Mesoporous Silica

open access: yes
Tandem hydrogenation vis-à-vis hydrogenolysis of xylose to 1,2-glycols remains a major challenge. Although one-pot conversion of xylose to 1,2-glycols requires stringent conditions, a sustainable approach would be quite noteworthy.

Microfluidic Nano‐Assembly of Red‐Blood‐Cell (RBC) Lipids and Components for Engineering Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Engineered red blood cell‐derived extracellular vesicles (eRBCEVs) are synthesized via controlled microfluidic assembly from native RBC lipids, enabling tunable encapsulation of proteins, nucleic acids, nanoparticles, and viral vectors. The platform demonstrates reproducible nanoscale architecture, preserved membrane composition, and functional cargo ...
