Relationship between Friction Coefficient, Viscosity and Compressibility of Polyethylene Glycol
An ultrasonic liquid processor with the frequency of 20 kHz was used to cleave a principal chain in a polyethylene glycol molecule. The amount of the lubricant molecules cleaved by the ultrasonic disruption was evaluated by the kinematic viscosity ...

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Cancer progression is regulated by the dynamic matrix code of the tumor microenvironment, which influences cellular behavior and disease development. Importantly, matrix remodeling in three‐dimensional cancer models more accurately reflects in vivo conditions compared to conventional two‐dimensional systems.

Virucidal efficacy of compositions based on lanthanum nitrate hexahydrate
Background. The most urgent problem of medicine is the fight against viral diseases. Preventive measures in the form of antiseptics with virucidal effect (VE) play an important role.

ESI-MS/MS for the Differentiation of Diastereomeric Pyrimidine Glycols in Mononucleosides
Pyrimidine glycols, or 5,6-dihydroxy-5,6-dihydropyrimidines, are primary lesions in DNA induced by reactive oxygen species. In this article, we report the preparation and tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) characterization of the two cis diastereomers of ...

We show that emergence of castration‐resistant prostate (CRPC) is associated with significant upregulation of cyclins that positively regulate cyclin‐dependent kinase 2 (CDK2) and concomitant downregulation of CDK4 cyclins. This renders CRPC cells dependent on the high activity of CDK2, and CDK2 inhibitors synergistically sensitize CRPC cells to both ...
