Aryl C-glycosylation of phenols with glycosyl trifluoroacetimidates
Carbohydrate Research, 2006Aryl C-glycosylation of a variety of phenols with glycosyl trifluoroacetimidates in the presence of TMSOTf was examined, leading to the corresponding ortho-hydroxyaryl C-glycosides in variable yields.

Synthesis of glycosyl boranes and glycosyl borinates†
Chemical Communications, 1999Insertion of glycosylidene carbenes into a B–C bond of BEt3 leads to unstable glycosyl boranes, while insertion into a B–C bond of borinic esters yields stable anomeric glycosyl borinates.

Glycosyl Sulfonium Ions as Storable Intermediates for Glycosylations
Organic Letters, 2011Glycosyl sulfonium ions, which serve as persistent glycosyl cation equivalents, were prepared by the addition of diorganosulfides to an electrochemically generated glycosyl triflate. Low-temperature and variable-temperature NMR studies were performed to reveal the structure, stability, and reactivity of glycosyl sulfonium ions.

Glycosylation with sulfoxide-based glycosyl donors
Chemical CommunicationsThis feature article elucidates the development and notable progress of glycosyl sulfoxide-based glycosylation reactions, with a specific emphasis on cases where sulfinyl groups are situated either directly at the anomeric position or more distally.

The role of glycosylation in IBD
Nature Reviews Gastroenterology & Hepatology, 2014A number of genetic and immunological studies give impetus for investigating the role of glycosylation in IBD. Experimental mouse models have helped to delineate the role of glycosylation in intestinal mucins and to explore the putative pathogenic role of glycosylation in colitis.

Congenital Disorders of Glycosylation
Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, 2006Congenital (genetic) disorders of glycosylation (CDG) are a rapidly growing disease family, with some 45 members reported since its first clinical description in 1980. Most of these are protein hypoglycosylation diseases, but recently three defects in lipid glycosylation have been identified.
