Correlation Analysis of 24‐h Minimum Heart Rate Levels and Deceleration Capacity of Heart Rate in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Complicated With Essential Hypertension

open access: yesAnnals of Noninvasive Electrocardiology, Volume 31, Issue 3, May 2026.
Sex‐specific 24‐hour minimum heart rate (MHR) stratification in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and essential hypertension (T2DM‐EH). Three key findings are shown from subgroup analysis: (1) In the normal MHR group (Group B), advancing age independently predicts reduced deceleration capacity (DC) in both sexes.

Improving glycaemic outcomes with subsidised access to diabetes technology in a young adult population with type 1 diabetes

open access: yesDiabetic Medicine, Volume 43, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Aims The availability of diabetes technologies has increased, although access can be limited for young people with type 1 diabetes (T1D). In Australia, access to subsidised continuous glucose monitors (CGM) has expanded significantly, while insulin pump access remains limited.

Genome‐Guided Discovery of Antimalarial 4‐Amino‐2,4‐Pentadienoate‐Containing Cyclolipodepsipeptides

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 18, 27 April 2026.
Halogenated and glycosylated 4‐amino‐2,4‐pentadienoate‐containing cyclolipodepsipeptides (APD‐CLDs) exhibit potent antiplasmodial activity (IC50 = 25–161 nM) against drug‐sensitive and resistant Plasmodium falciparum strains. ABSTRACT 4‐Amino‐2,4‐pentadienoate‐containing cyclolipodepsipeptides (APD‐CLDs) represent a structurally distinctive family of ...

How effective are CBT and CBT‐based interventions in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes? An umbrella review

open access: yesDiabetic Medicine, Volume 43, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Aims Significant evidence base supports cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for diabetes. Large variations in practice make it difficult to assess the impact of different types of delivery. This umbrella review aimed to synthesise evidence on the effectiveness of CBT and CBT‐based interventions for diabetes‐related distress, comorbid ...
