Thermally Gated Dual‐Cascade Nanozyme for Enhanced Mild‐Temperature Photothermal Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 18, 27 March 2026.
A thermo‐responsive cascade nanozyme (Ru‐GOx‐PNN) synergistically enhances mild photothermal therapy by dual suppression of HSP70 through ROS‐induced lipid peroxidation and ATP depletion. This intelligent system effectively overcomes thermotolerance and amplifies apoptosis, offering a safe and precise strategy for tumor treatment.

Adolescent Binge Ethanol Exposure Confers Lasting Adult Alcohol Tolerance due to Neuroimmune Activation: Reversal by Inhibition of HMGB1

open access: yesAddiction Biology, Volume 31, Issue 3, March 2026.
Adolescent intermittent ethanol (AIE) exposure induces enduring adult alcohol tolerance across a cumulative ethanol response battery. Parallel adolescent lipopolysaccharide challenge recapitulated tolerance and blunted acute ethanol–evoked HMGB1 release, implicating neuroimmune programming.

The combined transcriptome and metabolome analysis reveals the regulatory mechanisms and temporal differences of exogenous selenium in promoting flavonoids and glycyrrhizic acid metabolism in licorice under cadmium stress

open access: yesIndustrial Crops and Products
Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch. is a valuable medicinal plant whose roots contain glycyrrhizic acid and flavonoids as key bioactive compounds. However, soils in major licorice-producing areas are increasingly threatened by cadmium (Cd) contamination, which ...

Determination of the polyacid dissociation constants of glycyrrhizic acid

open access: yes, 2008
71-74Determination of the three stepwise dissociation constants of glycyrrhizic acid in water by potentiometric titration method is described here. The experimental data have been processed with a stepwise linear regression and simultaneous equations ...

Toward Better Understanding of Isomorphism of Glycyrrhizic Acid and Its Mono- and Dibasic Salts

open access: yes, 2016
X-ray crystallography reveals that crystal structures of mono- and diammonium, mono- and dipotassium, and mono- and dicesium glycyrrhizinates are isomorphic, and they are also isomorphic with the earlier reported structure of glycyrrhizic acid.

Molecularly Imprinted Polymers as Drug Delivery Systems for the Sustained Release of Glycyrrhizic acid

open access: yes, 2010
Objectives The aim was to synthesize molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) with high recognition properties towards glycyrrhizic acid and to evaluate the performance of these materials to act as base excipients in glycyrrhizic acid sustained release in ...
