ANODE CARBON ENRICHMENT IN GMAW

High Temperature Material Processes (An International Quarterly of High-Technology Plasma Processes), 2010
The shielding gas used in the welding process has a strong influence on the metal transfer characteristics. When the gas is chemically active the physicochemical properties of the electrodes can be strongly altered which can increase or decrease arc stability.

Understanding fume formation by GMAW

1999
The control of exposure to welding fume is necessary to meet health and safety obligations. The work reported here is a continuation of a successful Cooperative Research Centre project, that has revealed how two different mechanisms are responsible for generation of fume in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).

Quality management system of GMAW based on network

2017 International Conference on Computer, Information and Telecommunication Systems (CITS), 2017
From process formulation, welding production to quality inspection, welding quality management needs the cooperation of many departments. In actual production, the repeated works, omissions, and other problems of the establishment of welding procedure specification (WPS) occur from time to time.

Influence of Preheated Wire on GMAW Process

Advanced Materials Research, 2013
An hot-wire GMAW process is proposed in which the wire is preheated by a TIG arc to enhance the wire melting, and the process is aimed at high efficiency welding with a low level heat input. The welding system is designed, the wire temperature is monitored and the metal transfer and arc behavior is observed.
