Software Defined Network-Based Edge Cloud Resource Allocation Framework
A growing number of user applications rely on the computing resources of edge cloud data centers (ECDCs). The efficient management of ECDC resources has a positive impact on the cloud service providers' profitability and on the stringent quality-of ...

Label preference schemes in GMPLS controlled networks [PDF]
The GMPLS assumption that all available labels are equal is reasonable in electronic networks but not always true in WDM optical networks where labels correspond to physical wavelengths. In this paper we present two schemes for collecting the preference for specific labels during GMPLS signaling. For this purpose a new use of the Suggested Label object

Autonomous QoS Management and Policing in Unmanaged Local Area Networks
The high increase of bandwidth‐intensive applications like high definition video streaming in home and small office environments leads to QoS challenges in hybrid wired/wireless local area networks. These networks are often not QoS aware and may contain bottlenecks in their topology.

This paper conducted comparative genomic analyses among seven UCYN‐A strains in genome content, gene structure, and key metabolic protein genes. In general, our results demonstrated considerable disparities between UCYN‐A1 and UCYN‐A2, providing insights into the evolution of UCYN‐A and nitroplast.

Hybrid Optical Switching for Data Center Networks
Current data centers networks rely on electronic switching and point‐to‐point interconnects. When considering future data center requirements, these solutions will raise issues in terms of flexibility, scalability, performance, and energy consumption.

We present an innovative methodology that integrates core enzyme identification, protein structural characterization, regulator virtual screening, and functional validation to achieve precise microbiome functional regulation. As a proof of concept, we focused on the regulation of urea decomposition by the rumen microbiota in ruminants. This methodology

A Novel Shared Protection Scheme Based on Aggregate Wavelength in High Speed Networks
We propose novel analytical model of dynamic link cost evaluation in IP over WDM networks. We suggest disjoint path algorithm for the primary and backup path based on wavelength aggregate information, to provide shared backup. We show the optimality of pair selected because of joint optimization of the pair paths.

CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR CURRENT OPTICAL NETWORKS BASED ON GMPLS PROTOCOL
Optical transport systems have evolved in many senses with the pass of years. A first advance can be seen on the transport network, which at the beginning used TDM protocol for transport.

QoS Transformation in the Cloud: Advancing Service Quality Through Innovative Resource Scheduling
A new resource allocation system that may make decisions at runtime to handle the processing of applications at a VM has been presented. Independent tasks were submitted to the CloudSim simulator to test the MAPSO scheduling algorithm. The findings show that MAPSO improved a number of key aspects.
