A novel ANN-based GMPPT method for PV systems under complex partial shading conditions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
In this article, a new two-stage global maximum power point tracking (GMPPT) algorithm based on artificial neural network (ANN) is proposed. The novel ANN architecture is presented first, which requires fewer sampling points than other ANN-based GMPPT ...

A novel global FPPT strategy for PV system under partial shading condition

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, Volume 17, Issue 14, Page 3403-3423, 26 October 2023., 2023
Based on statistical results (more than 2430 MATLAB simulations and hard‐in‐loop experiments) with a comprehensive comparison index, the CPA is selected and modified to serve as the core optimizer for the GFPPT optimization problem. Based on the features of MH and GFPP, a novel modification strategy is proposed to reduce searching time, including an ...

Global Hybrid Maximum Power Point Tracking for PV Modules Based on a Double-Diode Model

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Photovoltaic systems under partial shading conditions (PSC) need to operate at the global maximum power point (GMPP) to extract the maximum possible power. Partial shading is characterized by the exhibition of a multi-peaked behavior in the voltage power

An Innovative MPPT Method Based on the Estimated Model of the Photovoltaic Cell considering the Environmental Conditions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Energy Research, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
In this paper, a novel adaptive photovoltaic maximum power point tracking (MPPT) circuit is proposed, called AT2MPPT. The AT2MPPT circuit is based on a type two fuzzy logic set and utilizes a detailed two‐diode model of a solar cell, as well as an innovative hybrid algorithm for designing the MPPT circuit.

Control strategy of grid-connected photovoltaic generation system based on GMPPT method

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science, 2018
There are multiple local maximum power points when photovoltaic (PV) array runs under partial shading condition (PSC).However, the traditional maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm might be easily trapped in local maximum power points (MPPs) and ...

Investigation on Photovoltaic Array Modeling and the MPPT Control Method under Partial Shading Conditions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Photoenergy, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
On the basis of a five‐parameter photovoltaic (PV) mathematical model, a multipeak output model of a PV array under partial shading conditions (PSCs) is obtained by MATLAB simulation. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the model can simulate the performance curves of the PV array under the PSCs.
