Re-examining the Role of Transport Infrastructure in Trade, Regional Growth and Governance: Comparing the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) and Central Eastern Europe (CEE)

open access: yes, 2010
The main objective of this article is to question the hypothesis of the role of transport infrastructures in regional economic growth by comparing Central Eastern Europe (supported by the EU structural and cohesion funds) and the Greater Mekong Subregion

Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

On the generalization of the GMS evolutionary model

open access: yes, 2011
We study a generalization of the evolution model proposed by Guiol, Machado and Schinazi (arXiv:0909.2108). In our model, at each moment of time a random number of species is either born or removed from the system; the species to be removed are those ...

Copper‐based Materials for Photo and Electrocatalytic Process: Advancing Renewable Energy and Environmental Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Cu‐based catalysts as a cornerstone in advancing sustainable energy technologies are fully reviewed in this manuscript, highlighting their potential in photo‐ and electrocatalysis. It includes metallic copper, copper oxides, copper sulfides, copper halide perovskites, copper‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), and covalent organic frameworks (COFs),

Simulation study of groundwater flow and solute transport processes in karst underground rivers based on GMS

open access: yesCarsologica Sinica
As the demand for the development and protection of groundwater resources in karst regions increases, accurately simulating the flow and solute transport characteristics of these waters becomes crucial.

Observations of solar energetic particles at a synchronous orbit [PDF]

open access: yes
The Space Environment Monitors (SEM) on board the Japanese geostationary meteorological satellites (GMS-1 and GMS-2) observed energetic protons, alpha particles and electrons continuously for February 1978 to September 1984.

Modulating Two‐Photon Absorption in a Pyrene‐Based MOF Series: An In‐Depth Investigation of Structure–Property Relationships

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

Distributed Monitoring of Robot Swarms with Swarm Signal Temporal Logic

open access: yes, 2020
In this paper, we develop a distributed monitoring framework for robot swarms so that the agents can monitor whether the executions of robot swarms satisfy Swarm Signal Temporal Logic (SwarmSTL) formulas.
