Soil moisture retrieval from GNSS-R signals

2015 International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications (ICEAA), 2015
Signals transmitted from Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) can be used for soil moisture monitoring after reflection from the Earth's surface. In this paper, the data collected by a GNSS receiver prototype installed on a small aircraft were analyzed.

The Pseudo Monostatic Point for Gnss-R

IGARSS 2019 - 2019 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2019
Recently, the use of spaceborne GNSS-R for sea-target detection has been demonstrated using DDMs collected by SGR-ReSI onboard TDS-1. These DDMs are windowed around the forward scattering specular point. At this point, the sea-surface response is strongest and it is well suited for remote sensing of Earth’s oceans.

Considerations on Gnss-R Carrier Phase Altimetry

IGARSS 2018 - 2018 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2018
The European Space Agency has recently studied, assessed or approved GNSS Reflectometry mission concepts based partly or fully on carrier phase observables for altimetry applications. Examples of these are, respectively, the GEROS-ISS experiment on board the International Space Station, the G- TERN Earth Explorer proposal or the PRETTY cubesat mission,

Advanced GNSS-R signals processing with GPU

2019
Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are mainly used for positioning. Nonetheless part of those signals emitted towards the Earth are reflected and can be used for GNSS-Reflectometry (GNSS-R), a novel Earth Observation technique. The Remote Sensing Lab has developed the Microwave Interferometric Radiometer (MIR) in order to capture direct and ...
