Surface Impedance Engineered Low-Profile Dual-Band Grooved-Dielectric Choke Ring for GNSS Applications

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2019
A novel low-profile grooved-dielectric choke ring with dual-band surface impedance resonance is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The proposed structure is designed by engineering the surface impedance of a dielectric-based choke ring to ...

Dynamic GNSS Testing and Applications

2009 Reno, Nevada, June 21 - June 24, 2009, 2009
Satellite-based global navigation systems are a ubiquitous component in modern guidance systems. Automated guidance in agricultural vehicles is a prime example of how Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers can be applied to operations requiring a level or precision, or consistency, which may otherwise be unobtainable.

GNSS vulnerabilities and vehicle applications

2016 13th Workshop on Positioning, Navigation and Communications (WPNC), 2016
The progress of vehicle-automation requires vehicle location with higher accuracy, shorter time-delay, and higher time-resolution, furthermore, many safety connected-vehicle applications, for example, crash-warning with vehicle-to-vehicle communication require more accurate time-stamps on the data from individual vehicles.

An Application for Detecting GNSS Jamming and Spoofing

ION GNSS+, The International Technical Meeting of the Satellite Division of The Institute of Navigation, 2021
Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) location engines on Android devices provide incredible location and navigation utility to billions of people worldwide. However, these location engines currently have little to no protection from accidental or intentional tampering that could block service or even spoof the reported location.

Triple-Band Antenna With Shorted Annular Ring for High-Precision GNSS Applications

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2016
In this letter, we propose a triple-band stacked circular-polarized patch antenna design that covers all Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) bands (1.166-1.289, 1.554-1.612, and 2.482-2.502 GHz).

A Dual-Band Conformal Antenna for GNSS Applications in Small Cylindrical Structures

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2018
A nonplanar circularly polarized dual-band antenna for global navigation satellite system is presented. The shape of the antenna is conformal to the surface of a cylinder such that the antenna can be completely integrated within the body of a cylindrical

Specification of GNSS application for multiprocessor platform

2008 International Symposium on System-on-Chip, 2008
In this paper we present a satellite navigation application for a multiprocessor platform. We give a preliminary description to the multiprocessor platform with an introduction to the project where it will be designed and implemented to a fabric die. The platform contains a matrix of processing tiles, connected together via a Network-on-Chip.

The ACES GNSS subsystem and its applications

EFTF-2010 24th European Frequency and Time Forum, 2010
The ESA mission Atomic Clock Ensemble in Space (ACES) will operate a new generation of atomic clocks on board the International Space Station (ISS) in 2013-2015 timeframe. The ACES payload will be attached externally to the European Columbus module. The ACES clock signal will reach fractional frequency stability and accuracy of 1 part in 10-16.
