System Considerations for a Combined UMTS/GNSS Receiver
2007 4th Workshop on Positioning, Navigation and Communication, 2007This paper introduces a hybrid receiver architecture for user equipment positioning by using UMTS and GNSS signals. After a review of the UMTS and Galileo/GPS signal structures and the state-of-the-art in receiver RF and base-band architectures, a configurable GNSS/UMTS architecture is proposed.

Theoretical Analysis of Overlay GNSS Receiver Effects
International Journal of Embedded and Real-Time Communication Systems, 2012Having given a short overview of GNSS signals and state-of-the-art multi-band front-end architectures, this paper presents a novel contribution to efficient multi-band GNSS reception. A general overlay based front-end architecture is introduced that enables the joint reception of two signals broadcast in separate frequency bands, sharing just one ...

ASIP-eFPGA Architecture for Multioperable GNSS Receivers
2008In this paper a novel flexible architecture exemplarily applied for multioperable GNSS receivers including an ASIP and an arithmetic oriented embedded FPGA is presented. The advent of next generation GNSS-systems as well as different demands in different system phases require high flexibility.

Integrated Multi-GNSS Receivers
The challenges of multi-band, multi-system (i.e., multi-) GNSS reception are higher bandwidths, higher sampling rates, and often multiple reception chains. All of these lead to an increase in complexity, size, and power consumption, especially for integrated radio frequency (RF) front-ends.openaire +2 more sources
