Resolving Complex Multiscale Structure of Magneto‐ and Electroactive Polymer Composites With an Ionic Liquid

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 25, 4 May 2026.
Multiscale ionic liquid segregation into nano‐sized domains in the unconfined amorphous polymer phase and into micron‐sized pores enables a coupled magneto‐ and electroactive responses. ABSTRACT A multiscale understanding of the structure of ionogels – nanoparticle‐free polymer composites incorporating ionic liquids – is essential for enhancing their ...

Infrared Detection in Perovskite Solar Cells Enhanced by NaYGdF4:Yb3+, Er3+ Up‐Conversion Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 5, May 2026.
Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) offer low‐cost photovoltaic and photodetection capabilities but lack near‐infrared (NIR) sensitivity. This work demonstrates their transformation into self‐powered NIR detectors by the integration of hydrothermally synthesized NaYGdF4:Yb3+, Er3+up‐conversion nanoparticles, which enable NIR‐to‐visible conversion.

Influence of growth habit on yield performance and quality of wheat landraces under continental Mediterranean conditions

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, Volume 118, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
Abstract Wheat (Triticum aestivum subsp. vulgare (Vill.) Thell.) is cultivated across a wide range of environments, where growth habit represents a key mechanism of local adaptation. However, modern varieties often lack key traits for sustainable farming, particularly in organic and low‐input systems where stress resilience and resource‐use efficiency ...

Connecting Industry 4.0, Servitisation and Sustainability: Territorial Implications for Global Value Chains

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, Volume 35, Issue 4, Page 5973-5986, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Globalisation has deepened the integration of international production within global value chains (GVCs), where the various stages of the manufacturing process are dispersed across countries. In today's volatile business environment, characterised by rapid technological advances (Industry 4.0) and evolving consumer preferences towards use ...
